IGNACIO DI BARTOLO

Ignacio is an Associate Principal with Partners in Performance (PIP). Ignacio has seventeen years of consulting experience. He includes several project experiences in designing and implementing business improvements, defining operational strategy and leveraging IT to improve business performance. Prior to joining PIP, he was five years in McKinsey & Co as Associate Principal, two year as General Manager of Unisys for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, and ten years in Accenture.
He served clients in different industry sectors around the world: metals mining and processing, insurance & financial, and consumer goods.

CAREER SNAPSHOT

  • Oil Company (Brazil) – Design and implementation of the governance model to guard and evolve the business processes. The model was defined to manage the roll out of the defined business processes around the Petrobras operations in 12 locations
  • Big Copper producer (Chile) – Redesign of the projects engineering area processes and design and implementation of their competency management system, in Chile
  • Steel smelter (Venezuela) redefinition of the business processes and implementation of their integrated ERP
  • Copper mining company (Chile) – Diagnosis to identify throughput improvement and costs reduction opportunities.
  • Technology and Operation company (Argentina) - Reengineering of their BU to reduce costs and improve performance KPIs. Overall cost reduction of almost 30% was achieved
  • Insurance company (Mexico)– Operations improvement in their back-office to reduce policy issuing lead time and improve call center KPIs
  • Consumer goods company (Mexico), improve their performance by redefining processes and leveraging their IT investment, in different areas: manufacturing practices, SO&P, procurement and supplier management, and marketing and promotions
  • Agrochemical company (Brazil) Post-merging reengineering the areas of Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.
  • Unisys (Argentina, Chile and Uruguay) as General Manager ran the business in the region, selling and serving clients. Key results were:
    • 33% in orders and 12% in revenues yearly growth
    • Highest Customer Satisfaction in Latin-American
    • Second highest chargeability worldwide: 76.2%
    • Led the implementation of the refocusing/downsizing strategy in the region, which included market re-segmentation, business/costs reduction, geographies merges, and people downsizing.

Education and interests
Ignacio had different teaching posts at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).  He has published several articles and coauthored a book on Public Speaking.

Ignacio did an MBA in McKinsey Development Center and earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1991.  His interests include tennis, skiing and spending quality time with his wife and three kids.
