Context / scope of project : The site was unprofitable and the primary line was operating significantly under its name plate capacity. PIP’s brief was to increase throughput on the primary line to allow an older line to be closed. PIP de-bottlenecked the primary line by tackling speed, availability and quality.

PIP and client achieved:

Throughput increased by 52%

$14m of annualised improvement
Simultaneous improvement in Safety, Speed, Availability and Non Prime
Old line closed
