Context / scope of project:
This underground mine was having problems with their
outsourced mining contractor and eventually needed to
change them out without causing major disruptions to
the operation of the site. PIP’s involvement was
to try to salvage the performance of the existing contractor,
but also plan for a change if needed, then oversee the
contract replacement.

negotiated commercial terms with new contractor (identified key risks, natural owners of each risk, economics of tradeoffs and risks, negotiated agreement between parties) |

planned in detail contract takeover (including risk assessment
for new contractor) |

developed and managed 30 day plan to ensure smooth transition |
