What we did:

Production:
Used value driver trees to identify key levers, value/ease prioritisation of improvement ideas on key levers
KPIs cascaded down to operator level
Operator training on load factor, spotting
Installed frontline SPIN (short interval control) on truck load factor, spotting times
Started reporting on “real” rather than “paper” tonnes


In Maintenance:

Trained trades and supervisors in 5 Whys/problem solving methodologies
Focus on increasing “Active Supervision”
Delay recording and analysis

Shift level reporting on schedule compliance and confirmed hours
